What you’ll do at work

These are exciting times, and the company is aiming to successfully recruit a number of persons as Port Operative Apprentices. A Port Operative Apprentice will gain front-line operational experience in loading/unloading vessels, vehicles, cargo handling, plant operations, warehousing/storage, and complex operations. Port and Shipping experience is NOT essential as all training will be provided with full support from the company and its external partners. The Port Operative Apprentice will be based at one of our three Ports on the Humber (Immingham, Hull and Goole) but will also gain knowledge and experience from ALL operations across the Humber.

Working week

The candidate must be flexible to cater for the changing demands of the Port and Shipping sector. As a guide, a normal working day ranges from 6 am to 6 pm. Monday to Friday with weekends being on as required.
