Engineering Bootcamp

Course Overview

This 16-week programme is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skillsr equired for a career in engineering maintenance. The bootcamp covers a wide range of topics, including health and safety practices, performing engineering operations, rigging, mechanical joint integrity, and more.

Participants will undergo rigorous training, including practical hands-on sessions, eLearning modules, and assessments. Throughout the bootcamp, participants will learn to work safely in challenging environments, develop proficiency in using hand and power tools, understand mechanical joint integrity principles, and gain practical experience in assembling and testing fluid power systems.

• Abrasive Wheels (handheld and bench-mounted)

• Low-risk Confined Space

• Manual Handling Working at Heights

• Working Safely with Hand and Power Tools

• Working Safely in an Engineering Environment

• Carrying out Engineering Activities Efficiently & Effectively

• Using and Communicating Technical Information

• Principles of Maintenance Engineering

• Basic Rigging Course (LEEA)

• Basic Rigging Principles and Safety Regulations

• Calculation, Selection, and Use of Rigging Equipment

• Knot Tying, Bends, and Hitches

• Practice in Lifting Loads

• Mechanical Joint Integrity First Principles

• Hand Torqued Bolted & Clamp Connections

Includes:

· EAL Performing Engineering Operations (PEO) Level 2

· ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport National Course

· LEEA Stage 1 Rigging & Lifting introductory level course

· ECITB Mechanical Joint Integrity

Who is this suitable for?

This course is ideal for aspiring leaders, managers, and professionals eager to advance their careers and make a significant impact in their organisations. Our Skills Bootcamps are for adults aged 19 or over who are either in work, self-employed, recently unemployed or returning to work after a break. You must live in England and have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
