Data and Compliance Administrator

Location: Morley, Leeds

Role Summary:

As a Data and Compliance Administrator, you’ll be responsible for auditing learner data and information, to ensure accuracy of data and compliance to funding policy rules and Springfield procedures. Also, ensuring auditing outputs are recorded to enable Management Information (MI) to be produced for feedback to the delivery teams and individuals on their competency and performance.

We are looking for someone enthusiastic with an extensive knowledge and understanding of the various Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) funding rules and their application in managing data and curriculum planning.

This should include full understanding and application of the Individualised Learner Record (ILR) specification requirements and analysis of funding data to support curriculum and financing plans.

You will be an integral part of our compliance team. You will be coordinating with other team members for undertaking all compliance and internal audit activities. You will be responsible for creating management reports and funding returns to our commissioners. The ideal candidate will be an individual who is dedicated to the education sector but who is looking for a new challenge. You will have extensive knowledge and understanding of the funding rules and methodology and be comfortable working with senior management to deliver improvements in process design and data quality.


Principal Accountabilities:

1. Satisfy the compliance and quality needs of the administration of Springfield Training, taking ownership of the co-ordination and submission of learner data and using and updating multiple databases within the business.

2. Manage your own time to meet targets or deadlines, adopting good planning and preparation practices to ensure timely submission of all data.

3. Providing administrative support to other members of the business when necessary, including management.

4. Maintain accurate learner data records in the ILR system, ensuring compliance and data integrity.

5. Validate and update learner information from various sources for accuracy and consistency.

6. Support data audits to identify and rectify inconsistencies or errors.

7. Monitor and track learner data for timely ILR submission and reporting.

8. Collaborate with teams to resolve data-related issues and support data submission processes.

9. Generate accurate reports using ILR data for analysis and auditing.

10. Stay updated on ILR regulations, funding rules, and data protection policies.

11. Undertake activities as defined for this role as indicated in the On-boarding Process for learners and employers.

12. Lead on the Functional Skills process; registering learners, exam booking, liaising with Awarding Body for ordering of test papers.

13. Provide training and guidance on ILR data collection and management.

14. Contribute to continuous improvement of data management processes.

15. Actively contribute to the management of your own development.

16. Any other duties commensurate to the role.
